Privacy Policy

This is a short, plain-language privacy notice. By using the service you agree to it.

What we collect

• Your email address, from the auth provider you sign in with (Google, LinkedIn, or magic link).
• Your name and profile picture URL, where the auth provider returns them.
• The CV files you upload, in their original format.
• What we extract from your CV to produce a recommendation (name, contact, location, work history, education, skills) — used internally only.
• The recommendations we generate for you.
• Basic usage events (e.g. when you upload a CV) — only with your cookie consent.
• Error reports, when something goes wrong, captured by our error-monitoring tool.

Who else sees it

• Supabase hosts our database, file storage, and authentication.
• OpenAI and/or Anthropic receive the text of your CV at request time so their AI models can read it. They retain it briefly per their default data policies and don't train models on it.
• Google Analytics receives anonymous usage events, but only after you accept cookies.
• Sentry receives error reports for diagnostic purposes. In our current setup, error reports may incidentally include some content from your CV (e.g. if an exception happens while the CV is being processed). We're working on tighter scrubbing.

That's it. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with anyone else.

Marketing emails

When you sign up, we'll occasionally email you product updates. You can turn this off in account settings any time. We'll always send transactional emails (sign-in links, security notices) regardless.

How long we keep things

We keep your CV files and recommendations as long as you use the service. If you want everything deleted, email us and we'll do it.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies for sign-in and session management. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only load if you accept them in the consent banner.

Your rights

You can ask us what we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email the address on the service.

We may update this notice. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version.
